The best matchmaker in Los Angeles depends on what you want. If you want the matchmaker herself running your search, with published prices from free registration to $25,000+, that’s my practice, Julie Ferman, on Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood. Ambiance, Amy Laurent, Elite Connections, Exquisite Introductions, LUMA, Maclynn, Matchmakers In The City and Perfect 12 also publish a street address in Los Angeles or Beverly Hills. Catch, Millionaire’s Club and Three Day Rule are based here without a published office, and Two Asian Matchmakers serves Los Angeles without one. Published starting prices run from $5,500 (Catch’s typical retainers) to $50,000 (Millionaire’s Club), and six of these firms publish no price at all.
I’m one of the matchmakers on this list. I started my company in Los Angeles in 2001, and it’s still my primary hub: more than 40,000 singles have registered with me, and I’m credited with more than 1,600 couples. I checked every fact about the other firms on their own websites on September 28, 2026.
I started with the Los Angeles matchmakers that AI assistants and published roundups name most often when people ask for the best matchmaker in Los Angeles, in September 2026. Every fact about another firm comes from that firm’s own website, read on September 28, 2026. Nobody paid to be here, and there are no affiliate links. Success rates are each firm’s own figure. If something about your firm has changed, email me at julie@julieferman.com and I’ll correct it.

Matchmakers With a Published Los Angeles Address
After mine, the firms are in alphabetical order: first those that publish an address here, then those that don’t.
Julie Ferman: Best If You Want the Matchmaker Herself, Plus Coaching
My Los Angeles office is at 10880 Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood, and I work with singles from Beverly Hills to Pasadena. I vet every introduction myself, and I always go to the man first: only when he’s a yes do I take him to her. Both people approve photos and a detailed profile before a date is set, and I hear back from both within 24 hours.
I work with just as many women as men, which matters in a city where, at several firms on this list, it’s the men who pay and the women who join free. The clients I match are mostly in their fifties and sixties, though registration is open to every age. I’ve produced more than 1,000 singles events since 2002, and I curate them: I don’t just put the word out and charge people and then whoever shows up shows up.
Registration is free and confidential, a 60-minute strategy session is $295, the 30-Day Boot Camp is $4,700, and personal matchmaking is $25,000+, by invitation after the session. More about how I work in Los Angeles. Good to know: if your budget for a full search is under $25,000, start with free registration or a strategy session instead.
I recall in those days your name was absolutely everywhere … you were the one in LA who had a name that was your name.
Gabriella Aratow, matchmaker in Aspen, remembering Julie’s early years in Los Angeles on Julie’s Cupid’s Coach podcast
Ambiance Matchmaking: Best for a Founder-Matched Search, Including Gay Clients
Ambiance was founded in 2002 by Leslie Wardman, who does the matching personally. It’s headquartered in San Francisco, with a Los Angeles office at 750 North San Vicente Boulevard and pages for more than a dozen other cities. Its FAQ puts memberships at $20,000 to $150,000 or more; singles who aren’t paying can join its database free, with no active search. Its most popular age range is 30 to 49, and it works with gay clients.
Amy Laurent: Best for Men 35 to 70
Amy Laurent has run her firm since 2005, with a Los Angeles office at 1925 Century Park East in Century City and offices in New York and Miami. She works from her own network. Men are the paying clients, typically 35 to 70, and women have free and paid options. It doesn’t publish prices; the first step is an inquiry, then a video consultation.
Elite Connections: Best for a Multi-City Agency With a Local Office
Elite Connections International dates itself to 1994 and lists 19 offices, with its Los Angeles office at 11755 Wilshire Boulevard. In-house matchmakers meet every match, men and women 21 and up can be clients, and it says it runs ID and background checks. The consultation is free. Prices aren’t published, and its memberships page mentions a three-business-day refund window.
Exquisite Introductions: Best for Executives and Public Figures
Exquisite Introductions is headquartered at 1999 Avenue of the Stars in Century City, led by its founder and CEO, Maria Silba, who meets each client. It describes its clients as CEOs, athletes and celebrities, and women it approves join free. The consultation is complimentary, and it doesn’t publish prices or a founding year.
LUMA Luxury Matchmaking: Best for a National Search With a Local Team
LUMA was founded in 2010 by April Davis and lists a Los Angeles team address at 1055 West 7th Street. It works nationally with a team of matchmakers, each carrying 15 to 20 clients. Its cost page puts full service at $20,000 to $250,000 or more, and the consultation is complimentary.
Maclynn: Best for International Searches, Including LGBTQ+ Clients
Maclynn was founded in London in 2011 by Rachel Vida MacLynn and has been in California since 2021, with a Los Angeles office at 1925 Century Park East in Century City and offices in New York, New Jersey, San Francisco, London and the UAE. A dedicated matchmaker works your search, including headhunting. It serves LGBTQ+ clients, the consultation is complimentary, and it doesn’t publish prices.
Matchmakers In The City: Best for Men and Women 21 to 70
Matchmakers In The City was co-founded by sisters Alessandra Conti and Cristina Conti Pineda and meets clients by appointment at 9465 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills; it also works in San Francisco, New York and Washington, D.C. In-house matchmakers interview and check candidates, and it says it runs background, social media and sex-offender checks. Matchmaking starts at $20,000 and runs to $125,000 or more. It serves men and women 21 to 70, with Jewish and Christian matchmaking among its services.
Perfect 12: Best for Men Who Want Women Recruited for Them
Perfect 12 Introductions is headquartered in Beverly Hills; its contact page gives 9465 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 300. Its founder and CEO, Simona Fusco, meets every client. Men retain the firm and it recruits women for them. It doesn’t publish prices, and its pages give two founding years, 2008 and 2010.
Los Angeles Matchmakers Without a Published Office
Catch Matchmaking: Best for Men 30 to 65, and Gay Men
Catch was co-founded in 2009 by Katie Chen, who owns it. It says it has physical offices in Los Angeles, with its office “at the edge of Beverly Hills on Robertson”, but publishes no street address. It represents men, typically 30 to 65, and has a service for gay men; women join free. Its FAQ says typical retainers run $5,500 to $25,000, and typical coaching fees $2,500 to $5,500. The consultation is free.
Millionaire’s Club: Best for Millionaires, Including LGBTQ Clients
Millionaire’s Club was founded in January 2000 by Patti Stanger. Millionaires, men and women, are the paying clients, including LGBTQ clients; others can join free. Its packages page lists memberships from $50,000 (an application form says $45,000) up to a $285,000 “Patti Stanger Exclusive” package, and having Patti herself as your personal coach costs at least $175,000 on top of a membership. It asks for full payment upfront by wire, and it says it doesn’t run background checks or give refunds.
Three Day Rule: Best for Matchmaking Plus Coaching
Three Day Rule was founded in Los Angeles in 2013 by Talia Goldstein and works nationwide. Your matchmaker is also your dating coach, any single can join its free network, and it has an LGBTQ+ matchmaking page. It doesn’t publish prices or an office address; the first step is a free consultation.
Two Asian Matchmakers: Best for Asian Singles
Two Asian Matchmakers was founded in 2009 by May Bugenhagen and works with Asian singles and people who appreciate Asian culture, in Southern California and several other markets. Men are the paying clients, typically 35 to 65, and women, typically 25 to 55, join free. Its FAQ lists $15,500 to $50,500 or more, and the first step is a free discovery call.
National Firms With a Los Angeles Team or Page
Several national firms work in Los Angeles without an office address here. Kelleher International, founded in 1986, names a three-person Los Angeles team on its LA page and publishes a fee of $50,000 to $500,000. Selective Search, Tawkify, Master Matchmakers and Select Date Society each have a Los Angeles service page, and It’s Just Lunch has Century City, Glendale and South Bay pages. I compare all of them in the best matchmaking services in the U.S.
The Best Los Angeles Matchmaker for Your Situation
- You want the founder running your search: me, or Ambiance, Amy Laurent or Perfect 12.
- You want published prices before you call: me, Ambiance, Catch, LUMA, Matchmakers In The City, Millionaire’s Club, Two Asian Matchmakers and Kelleher.
- You want coaching as well as introductions: me, Three Day Rule, Catch or Matchmakers In The City.
- You’re a woman who wants to be the client, not the pool: ask first. I work with as many women as men; at Amy Laurent, Catch, Perfect 12 and Two Asian Matchmakers, the paying clients are mainly men.
- LGBTQ+ clients: Ambiance, Maclynn, Millionaire’s Club, Three Day Rule and LUMA say so on their sites; Catch has a service for gay men.
- A specific community: Two Asian Matchmakers for Asian singles; Matchmakers In The City lists Jewish and Christian matchmaking.
- Over 50: most of the clients I match are in their fifties and sixties; Amy Laurent’s men are typically 35 to 70. Ask every firm for its typical client age.
- To be considered for free: the free databases at my practice, Ambiance and Three Day Rule, or as a woman at Amy Laurent, Catch, Exquisite Introductions and Two Asian Matchmakers.
What Dating in Los Angeles Is Actually Like
When CBS asked me why dating here is so hard, part of my answer was about the phones. People don’t just walk up and say hello to each other; they’re all looking at their phones, and they’re too cool to smile. Eye contact and smiling actually still work. People are just forgetting to do it.
There’s this understanding, a sort of an unspoken thing in Los Angeles, that the most desirable people are the ones with the most beauty … and the most money and fame … none of that has anything to do with having a great relationship
Julie Ferman, on CBS’s “This Is LA”
Age is the other LA problem. As I’ve said on my podcast, “in LA, if a man is nice looking and successful, he fully expects that he’s going to be dating 10 or 15 years younger or more. Not always, but that’s the norm.” And the bigger the city, the longer women seem to wait before they get serious about finding a partner, because it’s so expensive to live here. And then they call me at 43 in a puddle of tears.
Then there’s the map. If I’m introducing somebody in Santa Monica to somebody who lives in Santa Barbara, it’d be good to have a helicopter: you’ve got the 405, you’ve got the 101. When two people live more than an hour apart, I have them talk or do a video date first. When they’re close, I often send them to meet in front of the Santa Monica Pier, where the roller coaster is, and walk north or south along the beach. It’s flat.
If you live on the Westside, I’ve written about alternatives to dating apps in Santa Monica and Brentwood, and there are separate pages for Beverly Hills, Manhattan Beach and Malibu.

What a Los Angeles Matchmaker Costs in 2026
These are the published numbers, not estimates:
- Free: registering as a potential match with me, Ambiance or Three Day Rule; for women, at Amy Laurent, Catch, Exquisite Introductions and Two Asian Matchmakers.
- Under $30,000 to start: Catch’s typical retainers from $5,500, Two Asian Matchmakers from $15,500, Ambiance, LUMA and Matchmakers In The City from $20,000, and my personal matchmaking from $25,000.
- $50,000 and up: Millionaire’s Club from $50,000 to $285,000, and Kelleher from $50,000 to $500,000.
- Not published: Amy Laurent, Elite Connections, Exquisite Introductions, Maclynn, Perfect 12 and Three Day Rule.
My $295 strategy session and $4,700 boot camp are coaching, not matchmaking packages, so they’re a lower-cost place to start. More on what the money buys in how much a matchmaker costs.
How to Choose a Los Angeles Matchmaker
In a big city like LA there are a lot of matchmakers and a lot of people hustling love. Plenty of successful men here are wary of matchmakers, because so many have been hounded to become clients. So choose the way you’d hire anyone else:
- Visit the office, or ask where it is. Some firms on this list publish a street address; others don’t. Either can work, but you should know which you’re hiring.
- Ask who will run your search. The founder, a team, or a matchmaker you haven’t met yet.
- Ask to see real candidates before you pay. I run a search before every strategy session for exactly this reason.
- Ask who pays. At several firms here, only men pay and women join free. That changes who’s in the pool.
- Ask how far they search. Westside, the Valley, Pasadena, the South Bay, Orange County.
- Ask who sees your file, and whether you’ll ever have a public profile.
- Get the terms in writing. In California, a dating-service contract must be in writing, you can cancel until midnight of the third business day after signing, and the refund is due within 10 days (California Civil Code section 1694.1). This is general information, not legal advice.
- Ask how the success rate is measured. Every rate you’ll hear is self-reported.
To receive personal introduction referrals and event invitations, make sure you’re privately registered with me, with a current profile and current photos. I can’t match you if I can’t find you. From free to VIP, I’m here to help.

Julie Ferman’s registration is private and confidential, photos and a detailed profile are shown only to the other person in a proposed introduction, and she keeps last names private until after the first date. Yes. California’s dating-service law lets you cancel until midnight of the third business day after you sign, and the refund is due within 10 days (Civil Code section 1694.1). The contract must be in writing and spell out that right (section 1694.2).
