There’s Nothing FAIR About Dating.
It’s a survival of the fittest scenario, for sure. And who’s the fittest? Which women are likely to not only survive, but to thrive through the rapid waters that dating is today? Who’s surviving are the women who have IT.
And who’s the fittest?
Which women are likely to not only survive, but to thrive through the rapid waters that dating is today? Who’s surviving are the women who have The IT Factor. Here’s what IT is, how to get IT, how to lead with IT and how to keep IT, so that you will have and will seize the right and best dating opportunities.
My client, Katy and I were discussing the tragic phenomenon that we’re witnessing in today’s dating culture, which is that very few personal matchmakers have the courage to take on a female client. She asked if it’s because we girls are so “picky, fussy, critical and difficult to please” or if it’s because men subscribe to a social entitlement norm such that they are only attracted to (or ‘deserve’) to date women with a certain look or under a certain age. And I say Yes and Yes.
Here’s the problem:
With each passing year in a woman’s life, in the dating arena, her odds get worse. Now, remember, there’s nothing FAIR about dating. We’re talking about sheer demographics here. Over the age of 65, for example, there are three times as many single women as there are single men in the U.S. Couple these demographic challenges with the cultural norms that have been in place for ages, setting the standard that it’s OK and fully appropriate for men to date younger women, and we have a perfect storm situation that really SUCKS for today’s grown-up single women.
