What is up with today’s dating scene?
The ones you’re going for aren’t going for you, and the ones who are hot for you are leaving you cold. Sound familiar? Here’s why, and what to do about it.
We live in an order-it-up society. We’re used to being about to get what we want, the way we want it, when we want it, which is now….right now….snap your fingers and there you have it… 
Forty years ago, if you needed paper towels, you’d go to the store and you’d have one, maybe two brands to choose from. Today, there’s a dizzying array of options on the supermarket shelves for every item on our shopping lists. And we expect that the store will have our favourite brand, in abundance, at our fingertips because that’s just what we’re used to. We’ve been conditioned by our Burger King society that we should be able to have it (everything) the way we want it and when we want it, even in the domain of dating, love and romance.
Evan is hot for Salina – he’s VP of Finance, a rising star in his field, handsome, fit, and ready for love, marriage and family. He finds Salina to be stunning, fascinating, super sweet and sizzling hot. But he’s 42 and she’s 30. Her age target is 32 – 37, and so she vetoed him. He struck out. He’s not on her radar at all.
