When you see your man pulling away, lot of panic and questions starts haunting your mind. “What did I do? What did I say?” and double-guessing everything about yourself.
Don’t hustle him with flood of text messages, calls, or the dreaded pop-in, as his distance might have nothing to do with you at all. Give him some space. If he continues to be distant, you’ll want to communicate your concern and ask him if everything is OK. Giving him the freedom and the space to share with you what’s really so for him, even if what he shares with you is not what you want to hear.
Three things need to be in place in order for a man to really show up for you as a partner–
- He needs to have “the hots” for you romantically.
- He needs to feel that you and the complexities of your life fit in well with his — that your worlds mesh well together.
- Timing needs to be right for him, for developing and sustaining a long-term partnership.
